 Here is a phenomenal, magnificent and breathtaking performance. Pina bausch’s choreography ‘Full Moon(Original Title is Vollmond)’, is a performance on the floor covered with sand and then water. Her performance presents a dynamic energy which draws the audience’s focus onto the stage.

The performance begins with the man who seems struggling with something. He does the outdoor performance-dancing on the sand- and goes up to the slope. The scene changes at that time and another story starts with pouring water to the huge stone.

Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, featuring the unique and inspiring art of the great German choreographer, suddenly died in the summer of 2009.  Wim wenders, continued to film the movie in bid to pay tribute to her death. This is why this movie is considered as , to quote, a cinematic eulogy, for Pina Bausch.

The director, Wim Wenders,  takes the audience on a sensual, visually astonishing journey of discovery into a 3 dimensional film. He pulls the dancers out of the theatre into the city and the surrounding areas of Wuppertal – the place where served as a centre for Pina Bausch’s creativity.

Personally, I would like to describe her as a performer who almost reached to the god. It’s sad that people cannot be entertained and stunned by her creative performance, due to her death.
